Summary
- Our Apps do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- Your files, and the words you type with our keyboards, stay on your device. They leave it only when you use a feature that needs an online service, as explained in sections 4 and 5.
- If you use the AI features in Any Document Reader, Google may use the document text you send to improve its products, and people at Google may review it. Do not use these features with sensitive documents.
- We use Google services and a small number of advertising partners to show ads, process purchases, measure app usage and fix crashes. These partners collect some device information, as described below.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Who we are
Infinity Apps Studio is the developer of the Apps and is responsible for the information collected through them. You can contact us at infinityappsstudio@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Depending on the App and the features you use, the following information is collected automatically through the services named below. We do not receive this information in a form that tells us who you are.
- App usage information. Through Google Analytics for Firebase: the screens you visit, the features you use, how long you use the App, the App version, your device model, operating system version, language, approximate country and an app instance identifier. This information does not include the content of your files or anything you type.
- Crash and diagnostic information. Through Firebase Crashlytics: when the App crashes or encounters an error, a report containing the device model, operating system version, App version, the state of the App at the time and a crash identifier.
- Device identifiers. Your device's advertising ID, which our advertising partners use as described in section 8, and identifiers created by Firebase for each installation of the App.
- App integrity information. Through Firebase App Check and the Google Play Integrity API: information that confirms that requests come from a genuine copy of the App on a genuine device. This protects our online features from abuse.
- Purchase information. If you buy a subscription or in-app product, Google Play processes the payment. We receive confirmation of the purchase, the product purchased and the status of the subscription. We do not receive your name, payment card details or billing address.
Any Document Reader
This section applies to Any Document Reader - DocReader.
- Your files. If you allow the App to access all files on your device, it uses that access to find and list documents (such as PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files) so you can open them. You can also open a single file from another app without granting this access. Your files are opened, edited, converted and saved on your device. We do not upload your files to our servers or to anyone else, except for the AI features described below.
- Information stored on your device. The App stores your list of recently opened files and your settings on your device. This information is not sent to us. It is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
- Document scanner. The scanner is provided by Google Play services (Google ML Kit). The camera is operated by Google Play services, not by the App, and the App does not receive camera access. Scanned pages, and the text recognised in them to make scans searchable, are processed on your device.
- AI features. AI summaries, questions about a document and translated summaries are optional. When you use one of these features, the text of the relevant document, or the relevant parts of it, together with your question, is sent through Google Firebase to the Google Gemini API, which generates the result and returns it to the App. Where your device supports it, some summaries may instead be generated on your device by Gemini Nano, in which case the text does not leave your device. We use the free version of the Gemini API. Under the Gemini API terms, Google may use the content sent to it, and the results it returns, to provide, improve and develop Google's products, services and machine learning technologies, and human reviewers may read, annotate and process it. Google states that it disconnects this content from our account before reviewers see it, but it may still contain any personal information that appears in the document or your question. We do not store the content of your documents, your questions or the AI results on our servers. Do not use the AI features with documents that contain information you do not want to share in this way, such as health, financial or other sensitive information.
- AI usage limits. To apply the daily limits on AI features, the App stores a counter in Google Cloud Firestore. The counter is labelled with a code created from your device's Android ID using a one-way function, so the Android ID itself is never sent. The counter records only the number of AI requests made from the device and the time of the latest request. It does not contain any document content, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
Translator Keyboards
This section applies to our Translator Keyboard apps (for example, Bangla Translator Keyboard). Android shows a warning when you turn on any third-party keyboard, because a keyboard can read the text you type. This section explains exactly what our keyboards do with that text.
- What you type. The keyboard processes what you type on your device to show word suggestions and corrections. We do not collect, store or transmit your keystrokes, and what you type is never included in our usage or crash information. The keyboard does not show suggestions or learn words while you type in password fields.
- Translation. When you ask the keyboard or the App to translate text, including text you have copied and then choose to translate, that text is sent to Google Translate, which returns the translation. Only text you choose to translate is sent.
- Online transliteration. Some keyboards can convert words typed in English letters into another script (for example, typing "ami" to get "আমি"). This uses Google Input Tools and is turned off by default. If you turn it on in the keyboard settings, each word you type in that mode is sent to Google Input Tools to get suggestions. You can turn it off at any time, and suggestions will then be produced on your device only.
- Voice typing. If you use voice typing, the App opens the speech recognition service installed on your device (usually Google). The App asks for microphone permission only for this purpose. Your voice is processed by that service under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store recordings of your voice.
- Text-to-speech. When you ask the App to read text aloud, it uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your device.
- Contacts. If you grant access to your contacts, the keyboard reads contact names on your device so it can suggest them while you type. Contact information is never sent off your device. You can withdraw this permission in your device settings at any time.
- Personal dictionary. The keyboard can read and add words to your device's personal dictionary, so that words you use are suggested in future. This dictionary stays on your device.
- Information stored on your device. Your translation history, saved words and phrases, lesson progress, keyboard settings and any photo you choose as a keyboard background are stored on your device only. You can delete your translation history in the App. All of this information is deleted when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, the App sends reminders, such as a daily word or phrase. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
Other apps
Each of our Apps asks only for the permissions it needs to provide its features, and Android asks for your consent before granting sensitive permissions. For example, a flashlight App uses camera permission only to turn the camera flash on and off, and does not take photos or record video. Information made available through a permission is used only to provide the feature it was granted for. You can withdraw any permission in your device settings at any time, although some features may then stop working.
None of our Apps collects your precise or approximate location from your device's location services. If an App needs location information in future, we will update this Policy and ask for your permission before collecting it.
How we use information
We use the information described in this Policy only to:
- provide the features of the Apps that you choose to use;
- process and restore your purchases and subscriptions;
- show advertising in free versions of the Apps;
- understand how the Apps are used so that we can improve them;
- find and fix crashes and other technical problems;
- protect our online features from abuse and enforce usage limits; and
- comply with the law.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you, to provide the Apps, their features and your subscription; your consent, for personalised advertising and for optional permissions such as contacts and microphone; and our legitimate interests in measuring App usage, fixing problems, keeping our services secure and showing non-personalised ads. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
Advertising and consent
Free versions of the Apps show ads served by Google AdMob. Any Document Reader also receives ads from AppLovin, Mintegral and Pangle through AdMob. These advertising partners may collect your advertising ID, IP address, device information and information about the ads you see and interact with, in order to show, measure and personalise ads and to prevent fraud.
- If you are in the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, the App asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. Where Privacy options appear in the App's settings, you can use them to review or change your choice at any time.
- You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings, under Google > Ads or Privacy > Ads, depending on your device.
- Rewarded ads are optional. You choose whether to watch one in exchange for a reward in the App.
- Premium subscribers do not see ads in the Apps that offer a subscription that removes them.
Service providers
We use the following third-party services. Each one processes information under its own privacy policy:
- Google, for Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, App Check, Cloud Firestore and AI Logic), the Gemini API, AdMob, Google Play billing, ML Kit, Google Translate and Google Input Tools: policies.google.com/privacy. Google explains how it uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- AppLovin: applovin.com/privacy
- Mintegral: mintegral.com/en/privacy
- Pangle: pangleglobal.com/privacy
Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes, except as follows:
- with the service providers listed in section 9, to provide the services described in this Policy;
- with our advertising partners, as described in section 8, when you use a free version of an App;
- where we are required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, ourselves or others; and
- with a successor, if we sell or transfer an App, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.
Data retention
Information stored on your device stays there until you delete it, clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Usage information collected by Google Analytics for Firebase is kept for no longer than 14 months. Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days. We do not store content sent to an AI, translation or transliteration service. Google keeps that content for the periods set out in its own terms, which for the Gemini API include using it to improve Google's products, as described in section 4. Advertising partners keep information for the periods set out in their own privacy policies.
Security
Information sent between the Apps and the services described in this Policy is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to our Firebase project is limited to the people who need it to operate the Apps. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information.
Your choices and rights
- You can control permissions, notifications and your advertising ID in your device settings, and delete information stored on your device by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
- Depending on where you live, including in the EEA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and some US states such as California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
- Because the Apps do not use accounts, we usually cannot link the information held by our service providers to you. To help us find it, please include the name of the App and, where possible, your device's app instance identifier when you contact us. We will respond within the period required by law, and within one month at the latest.
- You will not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
- If you are in the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our Apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The AI features of Any Document Reader are intended only for users aged 18 or over. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through one of our Apps, please contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a significant change, such as collecting a new type of information or using information for a new purpose, we will also tell you in the App before the change takes effect and, where required by law, ask for your consent.
